Valentia Island (Irish: Dairbhre) is one of Europe's westernmost inhabited locations, lying off the Iveragh Peninsula in the southwest of County Kerry in Ireland. It is linked to the mainland by a bridge at Portmagee, as well as by a ferry which sails from Reenard Point to Knightstown, the island's main settlement. The permanent population of the island is 650, and the island is approximately 11 km long by 3 km wide.

Hi Folks, what a day. Leaving in the morning at 4 to shannon airport to get the plane to london, to get to the stylish gettyimage gallery for the annabel williams award ceremony ( :
London + Sunshine = beautiful madness.

Really enjoyed the ceremony, Annabel so adorable, fresh and enthusiastic. Over 1000 images competed to eachother. Love all the images whose the jury picked, including mine ( ; . Compliment to Sofie Louca, the overall winner- your Wedding Album...i lift my hat.

Then back to heathrow, into the plane and from shannon down to cahersiveen.
I am half dead and happy. I will post in the next view days the image of the ceremony (have to organise it). In case you missed the thread: HERE is the Runner up Image of me. I've got a super ticket for the swpp convention 2010 - hope to meet some of you there. back to Homepage www.calaido.com

Wilhelmina Koning!!! is a magic lady. She is about 60, looks like 30, and creates the most beautiful scarfs and dresses of felt. There is this enthusiasm in her eyes, her studio is full with incredible colour. She and her art is a micacle... She asked me to take photographs of her fashion and i was DELIGHTED. I tried to create a magic mood, emotional fashion (-; , I can tell you - i was high during the photoshots because her design and my mindimages loved eachother. When i presented her the images...we were jumping around like kidz, it was so exciting. I love to work with artist. Enjoy her creations. May it inspire you and your heart.

Back from Berlin

Just back from Berlin. With 28° C and natures' spring-summer fashion, Berlin is at its best! This is my always smiling granny, the cutest little old woman in Berlin. The image is taken with my ignorant mobile camera - it never gets it right. Always good to return to the hometown and always good to leave it behind. I prefer Kerry peace compared to city crazyness. The first few days i always confuse drivers with lifting my finger... until i realize that this is the place of taught ignorance and difficulties to see the difference between lifting the forefinger and middle finger ( ;

There is a new trend in airplanes....exchanging iPods with your freindly seat neighbour. You will leave the airport with new inspiration and empty batteries :D Check out Ray LaMontagne, the sweet voice of Lisa Hannigan, Damien Rice and my name sister Madeleine Peru.
